How we edit

United Sports Journal aims to make recreational sport and play easier to approach without overstating what a suggestion can do. We distinguish general ideas from facts, write with care, and make changes when a correction is warranted.

Accuracy and clarity

We check factual statements against suitable information before publication and use plain language to explain the scope of an idea. When a subject depends on local requirements or specialist judgment, we avoid presenting a general article as a substitute for checking the relevant source. We do not promise that a suggested activity or format will suit every reader or group.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions are made separately from commercial arrangements. Partner material and paid placements are identified clearly where they appear; a partnership does not guarantee editorial coverage or a favourable view. We do not allow a partner to present promotional material as independent editorial work.

Corrections and illustrations

Readers can use the Contact page to flag a possible error. We review corrections, update material when appropriate and make significant changes clear in the article. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; illustrative images are not evidence that a particular event or activity took place.

What we believe

Play is allowed to be an experiment

Not every attempt has to become a routine. We value curiosity, room to adapt and the freedom to decide that one game simply was not for you.
